When I was 13, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This September, I'm stepping outside my comfort zone to share my story for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Throughout September, I'll be sharing pieces of my childhood cancer journey on Instagram, not to focus on myself, but to highlight the many challenges and hardships that come with childhood cancer.
I'm partnering with Millie's Princess Foundation with a goal of raising $5,000 to support children and families currently dealing with childhood cancer.
I know firsthand how much cancer can change a child's life and the lives of their family. Today, I'm incredibly fortunate to live a healthy and happy life, and I don't want to take that for granted.
If my story can help bring awareness, support a family, or make things even a little easier for a child going through what I once did, then sharing it is worth it.
